I'm happy using the gadget. Happier than I was with Sync, Alpine, or Garmin. I think about myself an 'Average' navigation user (not a newbie, not an professional) and will update the evaluation after using it much more.
Sidenote: I ordered through Amazon, using "Beach Camera" seller. It had been delivered One (1) company day after I ordered it! I used 'Standard' delivery, and FedEx (House services) had it delivered fast. Extremely happy with Seaside Camera's delivery email messages and pace!
I thought I would offer an update after six months of using this TomTom gadget:
1) I am nonetheless extremely happy! It is the 1st GPS I've used that "just works" and I'm glad I do not have to mess with it.
2) I've mastered the technique of adjusting the display place whilst concurrently keeping the suction base. Back in Might after i initial reviewed it, I was worried about how 'easily' it popped off. Now, it's nonetheless annoying, but I've minimized the quantity of times it occurs by keeping it appropriately. It doesn't annoy me enough to purchase a various stand/holder.
three) The suction cup nonetheless holds on fairly well. It hasn't fallen off but. (I attach/detach in the windshield each time I exploit it.)
four) Visitors Receiver: I've been satisfied with alternate directions/road closings. It's fairly correct, even in rural locations where I did not expect road closures to become shown.
5) Long-distance travel: I've used it for a couple of long trips (1000+ miles) and had no problems in any way with it. I discovered the 'estimate' of time to become very correct. It had been no much more than ten minutes off. (I calculated time I stopped for gasoline and added it towards the original estimate.)
six) Battery lifestyle: I've discovered the battery lifestyle to become keeping a bit much less cost than it used to, but absolutely nothing that I really feel is alarming. The majority of time, I've the power cord linked anyway (so I can grab the traffic updates using the antenna built in to the cord.)
General, this really is my preferred GPS. I've been hooking it as much as the pc much less and much less (which means I am forfeiting new 'map share' punition). I even made the decision NOT to obtain the newest map update. Why? Well, I really feel every thing is working just good the way it's. I may update if I've the free time. This really is in sharp contrast to my prior GPS expertise, where I would pray for updates to repair stubborn problems. The TomTom is just good and I've had no main complaints. I am NOT within the marketplace to purchase a brand new GPS simply because I'm lastly satisfied.
